Peek Paper is a daily gallery of websites dressed as a printed newspaper, and it commits to the metaphor without turning into a costume.
Build on a warm paper ground, #e7e2d8, with cards and controls in near-white (#f7f6f2 or similar) and ink in #0a0a0a; the brand accent is a green #0f9b6c used sparingly — one hero gesture plus acti…

  • The masthead is a single word set at viewport width with a two-tone fill — black above, brand green below — split by a hand-drawn, slightly irregular horizon line rather than a straight gradient stop; the wobble is what makes it feel printed rather than generated.

  • A tick-mark timeline (short/long ticks, month labels in tracked small caps, one accent marker for "today") doubles as the archive navigation — a ruler instead of a pagination bar.

  • Cards are pinned, not framed: a semi-transparent pastel tape strip (yellow, mint, lilac, pink, rotating per card) overlaps the top edge of each near-white card, and the card carries a soft shadow so it sits on the paper ground.

  • Card captions mix registers on one line — a monospaced-feeling numeric index (01, 02…) on the left, a handwritten script title centered, and a small external-link icon right — so the screenshot stays the hero and the label reads like a pencilled note.

  • The "SPONSORED" marker is typeset on the tape strip itself, in tracked caps, so sponsored cards belong to the same system instead of wearing a badge.

  • The segmented Desktop/Mobile control uses a very pale green wash for the active segment inside a white pill — active state by tint, not by inversion.

  • Radii are disciplined to two values: 2px on the cards and screenshots (paper corners) and 999px on every control (tape, pills, keycaps).
